Terms and Conditions
Payment and Booking
Initial assessments and ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and are charged at £110 per session. Sessions are payable at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received. Ongoing appointment availability is provided only once an assessment has been completed and both parties agree that treatment is appropriate.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, please contact me at least 48 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are charged at the full session rate. Refunds are not available once a session has been booked.
Attendance and Conduct at the Practice
Beechwood House Clinic operates on an appointment-only basis. Clients may not attend the premises outside of confirmed appointment times and drop-ins are not permitted. Entry is available only at the time of your scheduled session via the clinic entrance.
Scope of Treatment
This service provides therapeutic support for disordered eating and body image concerns. Treatment focuses on evidence-based therapeutic approaches, psychoeducation, and support addressing both behavioural and cognitive aspects of the eating disorder. I do not provide medical monitoring, meal plans, emergency intervention, or intensive weight-restoration supervision.
Emergency and Crisis Support
Beechwood House Clinic does not provide emergency or crisis support. If you are at immediate risk, you must contact emergency services, NHS 111, your GP, or your local crisis team.
Professional Limitations
This service is not suitable for individuals who are medically unstable, experiencing acute risk, or requiring crisis-level care. If it becomes clinically appropriate, you may be referred to your GP, dietetic services, NHS eating disorder services, or specialist treatment providers.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for attending sessions consistently, providing accurate information about your health, and informing me of any changes in medication, symptoms, or risk. You must remain registered with a GP throughout treatment. If medically indicated, you may be asked to share relevant information with other professionals involved in your care.
Voluntary Engagement
Engagement in treatment is voluntary. You may pause or end therapy at any time. If you choose to withdraw, a transition session may be recommended to support onward referral or safe closure.
Out-of-Session Contact
Therapeutic contact cannot be provided outside scheduled sessions. Emails will be responded to during working hours only and are not monitored continuously. This service does not provide emergency or crisis support.
Crisis and Risk
If you are in immediate danger or crisis, you must contact emergency services, NHS 111, your GP, or your local crisis team directly. This service does not replace urgent medical or psychiatric care.
Limitation of Liability
Therapy outcomes cannot be guaranteed. You remain responsible for your own health and wellbeing, including informing your GP or relevant medical professionals of any significant concerns. Beechwood House Clinic is not liable for any loss, injury, or deterioration in health arising from decisions made outside of sessions or the misuse of information provided.
Online Sessions
Online sessions rely on a stable internet connection and may occasionally be affected by technical issues. If difficulties arise, sessions may be rescheduled at the practitioner’s discretion.
Collaboration With Other Professionals
Where clinically appropriate, treatment may involve communication with other healthcare professionals such as GPs or dietitians. Consent will be discussed wherever possible before any contact is made unless required by law for safeguarding or risk.
Confidentiality
Information shared in sessions is confidential. Confidentiality may be broken only if there is concern about serious risk to your safety or to others, or if required legally by a court order or safeguarding duty.
Session Recording and Materials
Recording or distributing any part of the session, whether through audio, video, screenshots, or transcript functions, is not permitted without prior written consent. Any written resources provided are for personal use only.
Communication Channels
Sessions cannot be conducted via text message, social media, direct messaging apps, or phone calls outside booked appointments. Social media follows, friend requests, or informal contact cannot be accepted to maintain clear professional boundaries.
